Trinity wins Central Province Under-20 Football Championship

Trinity College became Central Province Under 20 Football champions when they beat Ajmeer College 3/0 in the final which was played in Pallekele recently.

In the final encounter, Trinity College goals were scored by Viduneth Dhammage (2) and Saihaan Ibrahim. Trinity beat Al Azhar 1/0, Matale Zahira 3/0, Al Minaj 3/0 on their way to the semi-final stage.

In the semi-final encounter, Trinity beat Kingswood 1/0 and Ajmeer beat Don Bosco 4/1 through penalty after the game ended in a 1/1 draw after full time.

Kingswood beat Don Bosco in third place encounter 2/0.

Trinity, Ajmeer and Kingswood qualified for the Under 20 All Island Tournament 2025 which will take place later this year. (SJ)
