Thurstan propped up with HNB Finance as main sponsor

Thurstan College’s 2025 rugby campaign is bolstered by main sponsor, HNB Finance, which plays a pivotal role in empowering the team’s mission.

The expression of support by HNB to Thurstan is part of strong support from loyal sponsors, reflecting the wide network of Thurstan’s well-wishers and alumni. The 91 Batch steps in as the powering force behind this year’s initiative, showing their enduring commitment to Thurstan rugby along with Fusung Electric. Blue Lanka Tours joins as the platinum sponsor, while a lineup of generous co-sponsors adds strength to the effort: Prima Kottumee, Dialog Axiata, Prime Group, Polypac Secco, Iodex and Nawaloka. Their support ensures the players are well-equipped and motivated to face the challenges of the season.

Thurstan will play alongside Trinity, Royal, Vidyartha, and Sumangala in group stages of their Schools League first round commencing in June 2025.

Thurstan College, a proud institution with a rich sporting heritage, began its rugby journey in 1957. Over the decades, Thurstan rugby has become a symbol of determination, sportsmanship, and unity. This year, the team continues to uphold that proud legacy with renewed passion and vigour, led by the dynamic captain Hansa Indramala and guided by the expertise of Head Coach, Shamli Nawas.
