Thomians announce rugby coaching staff

The Thomians have announced their coaching staff for 2026 at the 1st XI rugby segment recently. They entrusted the Head Coach job to Tristan Healy of New Zealand.

Healy is the Head Coach of both Bay of Plenty Under 18 and New Zealand Maori Under 18.

Former Isipathana, CR, and national player Lasintha de Costa will be the Assistant Coach and Backs Coach, with his school and clubmate Omalka Gunaratne as Assistant Coach and Forwards Coach.

Former CR, Kandy SC and national player Vishwamithra Jayasinghe will be their Rugby Trainer with another schoolmate, Kandy SC and national sevens player Srinath Sooriyabandara serving as Assistant Backs Coach and Kicking Coach of the outfit, which will see all former Greens taking charge of the Mount Lavinia outfit in 2026.

Hisham Hameed will be the Performance Analyst of the outfit. (SJ)
