S’Thomas College put up an excellent performance outclassing Dharmaraja College by 48/5 win in one of the Dialog Schools Under-19 Rugby League encounters at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium yesterday.
At the short breather Thomians led 34/0.
Thomians were simply dominating in proceedings with ball in hands they looked dangerous through their lightning fast moving three quarter line. Their powerful forward pack secured quick ball at every breakdown, allowing the backline to exploit gaps with relentless incisive running lines.
Rajans defensive structure buckled repeatedly under sustained pressure, conceding eight tries and failing to slow the Thomians.
Rajans finally breached the Thomian defence with a late score briefly lifted their spirits and belief, but with time running out they could not sustain possession or threaten again.
Thomians scored their tries through Avishka Perera (2), Jason Granadas, Shanush Liyanapathirane, Vishwa Ariyawansa, Aaron Koreira and Mayanka Dias. Udan Bulathsinghalage converted the tries for Thomians.
Rajans solitary try was scored by Vidun Saparamadu.
Referee was Charani Liyanage.
D.S. Senanayake College edged out Science College 36/29 at Havelock Park last evening.
Havies scored 6 tries converting 3 of them. Meanwhile Science scored 4 tries, 3 conversions, 1 penalty.

Sri Sumangala College, Kandy secured their second win in the Dialog Schools Under-19 Rugby League when they outclassed Thurstan by 33/20 at the Bogambara Stadium last evening.
At the short breather it was Thurstan who led 13/7.
