Teejay Lanka tops league points table in MCA “C” division

Unbeaten Teejay Lanka registered their 04th win on the trot, as they moved to the top of the league points table in the ongoing MCA “C” division, white ball 50 over League tournament 2025, continued last weekend.

Teejay Lanka scored a last ball win by 02 wickets over LOLC Holdings; LOLC, batting first scored 166 in 43.1 overs and Teejay Lanka managed to go over the line, scoring 167 for 08 in 50 overs.

David Pieris Motor Co. “A” registered their first win in the tournament with a comprehensive 141 runs win over Commercial Bank “A” where 02 centuries were scored in the process.

DPMC “A”, batting first amassed to 334 for 5 in 50 overs; opening batter, Tharindu Amarasinghe top scored with a sparkling 106 runs in 98 balls, inclusive of 06 sixes and 11 fours.

Commercial Bank “A” in reply managed only 193 runs in 38 overs; their opening batter, Praveen Kumarapperuma played a lone hand with a fighting 101 runs in 106 balls, inclusive of a six and 12 fours.

Sampath Bank registered their first win in the tournament with a comprehensive 133 win over MAS Intimates; Sampath Bank, batting first put up 273 runs in 48.2 overs and MAS Intimates shot out for 140 runs in 30.3 overs.

In the battle of the sister companies, MAS Intimates scored a heart stopping 01 wicket win over MAS Bodyline; MAS Bodyline, batting first scored 166 in 47.2 overs and MAS Intimates went over the line with 169 for 9 in 41.4 overs.

The tournament will be continued with the remaining league stage matches on Sunday (27 July) and 3 August.
