Team Blues and Team Green led by national caps Harshitha Samarawickrama and Hasini Perera will meet in the final of the Women’s National Super League (NSL) T20 final at the P Sara Oval today in what could turn out to be a close contest.

Both teams finished one-two in the final league standings and thus qualified to play in the final. They met each other twice in the league phase with each team winning against the other – Team Blues winning by 26 runs and Team Green by 4 runs.

It is no surprise that these two teams have made it to the final as Hasini (236 runs, strike rate 114) and Harshitha (151 runs, st/rt 91.51) are the two leading run-getters in the tournament.

Apart from Harshitha, Team Blues also has Sathya Sandeepani (110 runs, st/rt 102.8) and Ama Kanchana (102 runs, st/rt 124.39) who have scored over 100 runs in the tournament, while for Team Green Nilakshika Silva has accumulated 130 runs (st/rt 108.33).

Off-spinner Dewmi Vihanga (9 wickets, economy rate 5.11) and seamer Sathya Sandeepani (7 wkts, ec/rt 5.37) have been the most successful bowlers for Team Blues. Left-arm seamer Udeshika Prabodhani (8 wkts, ec/rt 4.66) and left-arm spinner Sugandika Kumari (8 wkts, ec/rt 4.93) have taken the most wickets for Team Green. - [ST]
