Shamar Joseph claimed a four-fer as West Indies breezed past Italy by 42 runs in their final group game of the T20 World Cup yesterday in Kolkata.

The win saw West Indies, who had already qualified for the Super 8s, top Group C with four wins from four matches.

Chasing 166 at the Eden Gardens, Italy kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 123. Joseph returned figures of 4/30 for the West Indies, who posted 165/6 riding on captain Shai Hope’s 75 off 46 balls
