Sudath continues as President at Nuwara Eliya Golf Club

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC), one of Sri Lanka’s most historic and prestigious golfing clubs, held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) last weekend with Sudath Kumara being given the green light to continue as the President for yet another term.

Sudath Kumara was elected President, bringing with him a wealth of experience and commitment to the club’s continued growth. Assisting him will be National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chairman, Suresh Subramaniam who takes on the role of Vice President. Trevine Fernandupulle will be the Immediate Past President.

The captaincy was awarded to Air Chief Marshal H. Abeywickrama, a highly respected figure within the Club’s community, while Ananda Jayasekara was elected as Vice Captain.

Former Trinity cricketer, Austin C. Bartholomeusz and his school mates Hockey player, Surain Premathilake along with Stephan De Run were elected as committee members. Chathuranga Perera will be the other committee member.
