Sri Lanka levelled the seven-match Under-19 Youth ODI series against West Indies with an exciting one-wicket win in the second match played at Coolidge on Tuesday.
Sri Lanka did well to dismiss West Indies for 201 with Jaffna Hartley College leg-spinner Vigneshwaran Akash once again among the wickets taking 3/30. For West Indies, it was their captain Joshua Dorne who top scored for them with 82 off 112 balls (5 fours).
Sri Lanka lost regular wickets in their run chase failing to put together any noteworthy partnerships and had to rely on Trinity College all-rounder Sethmika Seneviratne to see them home. Seneviratne, coming to bat at the fall of the seventh wicket at 178 scored an undefeated 20* off 32 balls (3 fours) to see Sri Lanka over the line with two overs to spare.
