Working Task Force (WTF) for Sri Lanka Rugby will hold the Annual General Meeting (AGM) originally scheduled for 9 September has been vacated and a fresh AGM will be convened.

This decision follows the unanimous recommendation of the Election Committee for SLR AGM 2025, after it determined that no registered member club or provincial union, except one, had submitted the documentation required to establish full membership status for the allocation of voting rights in consistent with the Sri Lanka Rugby Constitution.

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, WTF for Sri Lanka Rugby unanimously resolved to vacate the earlier notice and to issue a fresh AGM notice with a new nominations process.

Fresh nominations will be called in accordance with the Constitution, and the Election Committee will oversee the scrutiny process.

As per Sri Lanka Rugby Executive Director Chula Ariyaratne, a fresh AGM will take place in the near future.
