Sri Lanka Rugby AGM on 9 September

As per the Sri Lanka Rugby, Executive Director, Chula Ariyaratne, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sri Lanka Rugby will take place on 9 September at the Duncan White Auditorium, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports commencing at 3 p.m.

The meeting is convened in line with Article 20 of the SLR Constitution, following recent Government gazette notifications and a Court of Appeal ruling. All registered clubs, provincial unions, and associations were invited to participate.

The election will cover various critical posts including President, Deputy President, Vice President, and Treasurer roles. Special positions such as Female Athlete Representatives are also included, emphasising inclusive representation.

Currently Working Task Force (WTF) runs the operation of rugby in Sri Lanka. (SJ)
