Sri Lanka Cricket holds 59th Annual General Meeting

The 59th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) was held yesterday with the participation of its members at the Hilton Residences, Colombo.

This was pursuant to the permission granted by the Regulations promulgated by the Minister of Sports under Section 41 read with Section 31 of the Sports Law No. 25 of 1973, vide Gazette Extraordinary No. 1990/23 of 27-10-2016.

The Annual Audited Accounts of SLC ending 31 December 2019, which was certified by the Auditor General, was approved by the general membership of SLC at this meeting in addition to the Annual Report of SLC for the year 2019.

Inter-alia the general membership of Sri Lanka Cricket noted the decision taken by the Executive Committee of SLC to write-off the longstanding balances depicted in the financial statements of Sri Lanka Cricket, with a view of fairly representing the financial accounts of SLC.
