Sri Lanka ‘A’ Women pick squad for unofficial WT20I

Sri Lanka’s women cricket national selectors have retained 11 of the Sri Lanka ‘A’ Women players who figured in the three-match unofficial WODI series against New Zealand ‘A’ Women for the upcoming three-match unofficial WT20I series commencing at Dambulla on 21 May.

Vitini de Alwis, Pramudi Methsara, Sachini Nisansala, Shashini Gimhani, and Aseni Thalagune are the new players who have joined the women’s T20I squad of 16 for the series.

Vitini is the daughter of former Sri Lanka wicket-keeper/batsman Guy de Alwis and former Sri Lanka Women’s cricket captain Rasanjali Silva.

Sathya Sandeepani retains the captaincy for the series.
