National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka former Chairman, passionate promoter of several sports and entrepreneur Suresh Subramaniam passed away yesterday at the age of 65 after a brief illness.
He headed Sri Lanka Tennis Association as well as Sri Lanka Golf. A Royalist, Suresh represented Sri Lanka at Davis Cup as well.
Suresh was a respected administrator and made a significant contribution to the development of tennis, golf and the wider sporting landscape in Sri Lanka. During his tenure, he played a key role in promoting the game while strengthening the country's sporting administration through his leadership at both Sri Lanka Golf and the National Olympic Committee.
