Sports Minister Harin Fernando met with the members of the newly appointed cricket selection committee and Sri Lanka Cricket High Performance Centre Consultant Sanath Jayasuriya yesterday.

In a Facebook post Minister Fernando stated:

“Had a discussion with the Sri Lankan Cricket Selection Committee. There is no doubt that they have the potential to elevate cricket and revitalise it to its former glory again with the new selection committee’s modern and strategic plans.

“Sri Lankan Cricket High Performance Centre Chief Sanath Jayasuriya and new Cricket Selection Committee members were together.”
