Softlogic Stockbrokers has come on board as the main sponsor of Ahangama Ballers, one of the newest franchise teams set to compete in the Sri Lanka Padel League 2026, marking a significant partnership between one of Sri Lanka’s established capital market brands and one  of the country’s fastest-emerging sporting platforms.

Owned by Trade Promoters Ltd., Ahangama Ballers will participate in the second edition  of the Sri Lanka Padel League, scheduled to take place from 18 to 21 June 2026 at Padel House, CR & FC. The tournament is expected to bring together eight franchise teams, international and local players, and a growing audience of padel enthusiasts, corporates, entrepreneurs, professionals, and lifestyle-focused communities. Padel, widely recognised as one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, has seen strong momentum in Sri Lanka over the past two years. Combining elements of tennis and squash, the sport has attracted a broad  and highly engaged player base due to its accessibility, social appeal, competitive format, and  suitability for both recreational and serious athletes. In Sri Lanka, this growth has been driven  by Padel House, which introduced the sport locally and has played a defining role in building  the country’s padel ecosystem.

Softlogic Stockbrokers’ sponsorship of Ahangama Ballers reflects a forward-looking  approach to brand engagement, aligning financial services with sport, lifestyle, wellness, and  community-building. As capital markets increasingly engage younger professionals, entrepreneurs, and digitally connected investors, the partnership creates a relevant and dynamic platform for Softlogic Stockbrokers to connect with a growing audience beyond conventional financial communication channels.

“Softlogic Stockbrokers is pleased to partner Ahangama Ballers as a main sponsor for the Sri Lanka Padel League 2026,” said Softlogic Stockbrokers Director/CEO Dihan Dedigama.  “Padel represents energy, strategy, and community; values that resonate strongly with our  brand and with the clients and investors we serve. We see this partnership as an opportunity  to support a fast-growing sport while engaging with a progressive and active audience in a  meaningful way.”

Trade Promoters Ltd.’s ownership of Ahangama Ballers is part of the company’s broader move into sports through strategic investments and franchise ownership. With a legacy in engineering, power, and technical solutions, Trade Promoters Ltd. has increasingly  looked at sport as a platform for long-term value creation.

With the Sri Lanka Padel League 2026 set to bring together sport, entertainment, corporate engagement, and community participation, the partnership between Softlogic Stockbrokers and Ahangama Ballers represents a timely investment in one of Sri Lanka’s most promising new sporting movements.
