Dialog Schools Rugby League week 3 will see 5 games being worked off today and two on 22 June.

In Kandy, St. Anthony’s College will host the ‘Black Horse’ of the league, Wesley College, at Nittawela. Antonians, led by Omitha Dissanayake, have shown heart but will need to be at their best to stop the power-packed Wesley outfit. Jeewaka Fonseka will officiate.

Vidyartha College will battle Sri Sumangala College at Pallekelle in a crucial mid-table clash. With both sides looking to finish strong, this could go either way. Gihan Yatawara will be the referee.

St. Peter’s College, the reigning champions, will take on Science College at Bambalapitiya. The Petes are expected to dominate, but Science has shown signs of improvement. Nalin Lasantha will oversee proceedings.

Mahanama College, fresh off a morale-boosting win over Dharmaraja, will face the formidable S. Thomas’ College at Ratmalana. The Thomians, in top form, are tipped to maintain their unbeaten run. Ishanka Abeykoon will referee.

In Maradana, Zahira College will meet Kingswood College, who are still searching for their first win. With both teams under pressure, this could be a tense affair. Aruna Shantha will officiate.

Isipathana College will be back in Kandy for their second encounter in the Central Hills when they face Dharmaraja College at Nittawela on SUnday. This is expected to be a one sided affair with Greens should be home comfortably.

Referee Nipuna Amarathunge will handle the encounter.

The last league encounter for week 3 will see gutsy Anandian outfit taking on D.S. at Rajagiriya. This should be a close encounter with D.S. holding slight edge.

As the league heats up, Week 3 is set to be a defining phase for teams aiming for the Cup round, while others will focus on solidifying their places in the Plate or Bowl segments. With pride and qualification at stake, fans can expect a weekend full of passion, physicality, and drama on the rugby.  (SJ)
