Sandul leads Wesley at Rugby

Fourth year player and cracking number 8, Sandul Gammanpila will lead the Double Blues in their 2025 rugby season. Sandul commenced playing for the Wesley outfit during the 2022 season.

Sandul will have Abdul Haadhi and Hasim Thabeeth as his two Co -Vice Captains of the Wesley outfit.

Sandul’s father Asanka Gammanpila led the Wesley outfit in 1998 while Haadhi’s father Sameeul Aleem led the double blues in 1999. Meanwhile Hasim’s father played for Wesley in 1995.

The outfit will be coached by former Wesley, Havies, and FC player, national player plus the Kandy SC Forwards Coach Henry Terrence.
