Havelock Sports Club, affectionately known as the ‘Park Club,’ has long been a powerhouse in Sri Lanka’s rugby landscape, producing generations of talented players and inspiring a distinctive brand of fast-paced, attacking rugby. For the 2025/26 season, the club has entrusted its leadership to Sandesh Jayawickrama.

Sandesh, former St. Peter’s College Captain in 2016 and Sri Lanka age-group representative, first made his mark in club rugby with Police SC before moving to Havelock SC in 2018. Over seven consistent seasons, he has earned a reputation as a dependable utility back and a natural leader, having served as Vice-Captain for the past two years.

Havelock SC’s contribution to Sri Lanka rugby goes well beyond individual players. As one of the oldest and most respected clubs in the country.
