SSC venue for opening match of LPL-6

Finalists of the last Lanka Premier League conducted in 2024, Jaffna and Galle, will play in the curtain-raiser of the sixth LPL edition on 17 July at the SSC grounds commencing 7.30 pm.

By installing floodlights to host matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in February, SSC have got the facilities to accommodate night games. Thereby, they will host the first match of LPL Season 6.

Prior to the start of the tournament opener, a spectacular opening ceremony will be held.

LPL-6 will run from 17 July to 8 August at venues in Colombo (SSC and R Premadasa Stadium), Dambulla and Pallekele.

The tournament is conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), the owner of the LPL in partnership with the IPG Group, the event rights holder.
