The Singhalese Sports Club will name its indoor cricket nets after one of their stalwarts, the late Michael

de Zoysa, on 27 January.

De Zoysa was a long-standing member of the club and contributed immensely as a cricketer and administrator for its upliftment. He was instrumental in having the indoor cricket nets installed at the SSC, and the club has thought it a fitting tribute to have it named after him.

De Zoysa was still actively involved with the club until his sudden demise on 29 September 2019, one day before his 73rd birthday. (ST)
