SLC grants Rs. 10 m to rising javelin athlete Rumesh Tharanga

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) provided a financial grant of Rs. 10 million to rising javelin thrower Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage, earlier this week.

This support was extended under the direction of SLC President Shammi Silva and the Executive Committee of SLC following a request made by Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage.

This initiative is part of SLC’s ongoing efforts to support and promote sports beyond cricket, as well as to assist promising athletes in achieving success at international level.
