The Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) officially launched the BETSS.COM Sri Lanka Super Series 2026 at the DIMO 800 Auditorium in Colombo on 12 March. The launch brought together sponsors, media partners, competitors, racing fans, and the public to introduce what promises to be another exciting year of motorsports across the island.

This marks the ninth Sri Lanka Super Series organised by the SLARDAR. The series has become one of the country’s most respected and popular motor racing championships. It includes a range of professionally organised racing events for both cars and motorcycles, attracting many competitors and showcasing some of the best racing talent in Sri Lanka.

Throughout the season, drivers and riders will compete in various formats and terrains (Hill Climb, Gravel, and Tarmac), culminating in the crowning of the country’s best driver and rider of the year.

SLARDAR President Prashan Wijayanayake highlighted the championship’s significance and the organisation’s commitment to fostering motorsports in Sri Lanka.

“The Sri Lanka Super Series has become one of the most anticipated events on the national motorsport calendar. Each year, we see incredible dedication from drivers, riders, teams, and our valued partners who share our vision of boosting motorsports in Sri Lanka. With the ongoing support of our sponsors and the excitement of the racing community, we are confident that the 2026 championship will reach even greater heights,” he said.

The SLARDAR has a proud history that begins in April 1983. For more than 40 years, the organisation has played a key role in shaping Sri Lankan motorsports. Over the years, the SLARDAR has designed and developed several iconic racing tracks while consistently improving standards within the sport. A notable achievement occurred in 2024 when the SLARDAR opened Sri Lanka’s first privately owned racing track, the Mahameruwa Racing Arena in Giriulla. This marked a significant milestone in the development of motorsports infrastructure in the country.

The Sri Lanka Super Series 2026 has an exciting calendar of high-energy events at various locations. The championship began earlier this year with the Mahameruwa Rally Cross (Race 1) in Giriulla on 7 and 8 February. Upcoming events include the Single Tree Hill Climb in Nuwara Eliya on 5 and 6 April, the Colombo Supercross in Welisara on 9 and 10 May, the Cavalry Supercross in Kurunegala on 27 and 28 June, the Katukurunda Circuit Meet on 5 and 6 September, and the return of the Mahameruwa Rally Cross (Race 2) in Giriulla on 17 and 18 October.

The season will conclude with the Sri Lanka Super Series 2026 Awards Night and Dinner Dance in December. Each event is expected to attract a strong group of competitors from across the country in both car and motorcycle categories. Months of planning go into the championship, with drivers, riders, teams, and organisers working closely to ensure a high level of competition, safety, and professionalism.

The championship benefits from a solid line-up of sponsors and partners, reflecting the rising status of the series. BETSS.COM serves as the Main Title Sponsor, while BYD is the Official Automobile Partner. Sri Lanka Insurance General acts as the Official Insurance Partner, and PEO Sports is the Official Television Partner, with all events broadcast live on PEO Sports and streamed on YouTube and other social media platforms.

Additional partners include Rough Clothing as the Official Clothing Partner, Ninehearts as the Official Photographers, Orzone Mineral Water as the Official Mineral Water Partner, Nawaloka Hospitals as the Official Healthcare Partner, Fazaal Ceramics as the Official Bathware Partner, and Landmark Automobiles as a Co-Sponsor.

With over four decades of experience and a strong focus on professionalism, the SLARDAR continues to play an important role in the growth of motorsports in Sri Lanka. The BETSS.COM Sri Lanka Super Series 2026 promises another thrilling season that will bring competitors, partners, and fans together in celebration of speed, skill, and sporting excellence.
