SL boys end runner-up at Asia Sevens U20

The Sri Lanka Under-20 Boys’ outfit, led by former Isipathana Vice Captain and Kandy Sports Club centre Shaahid Zumri, became runner-up when they were beaten by Hong Kong 33/0 in the Cup final at the Asia U20 final in Bihar, India on Sunday.

On Day 1, Sri Lanka Boys won all their three group matches against Hong Kong China 24/19, India 24/5, and the United Arab Emirates 26/24. Sri Lanka beat China 26/17 in the Cup semi-final encounter.

Sri Lanka Girls beat Nepal 24/12 and placed seventh in the eight-team event, with very little preparation.
