With the transition to the new normal since the pandemic, Rainbow Swimming in partnership with Sri Lanka Life Saving is endeavouring to bring swimmers back into the ocean after the difficult lockdown period with the Rainbow Sea Swim Challenge 2021.
The Sea Swim Challenge is designed to task each individual to challenge themselves with their own distance or time target.
The Sea Swim Challenge which is open to all (beginners to pro swimmers, women/men, kids/adults) will take place today, 13 March, in front of the Sri Lanka Life Saving head office in Mount Lavinia. Competitors are permitted to start on their own time within the competition time frame of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Competitors can swim for as long and as much as they wish to, around a 150m or 600m triangle outlined in front of the Sri Lanka Life Saving Headquarters (Surf Club) in Mount Lavinia. Certificates will be awarded to all participants mentioning distance and total completion time.
The event will be held following COVID-19 guidelines imposed by the relevant Government authorities. Hence, participants and parents are requested to abide by the said guidelines imposed by the authorities all times.
The Rainbow Swim Challenge is officially sponsored by Sustagen Junior, Sustagen, Prima Kottu Mee and Kinley.
