Marking a significant achievement in his athletic career, Rachitha Buddhika secured the Gold Medal and was awarded the prestigious title of National Champion at the Kettlebell Lifting Championship 2025, held on 6 July at CrossFit Colombo.
The championship, organised by the Sri Lanka Kettlebell and Strongman Federation, brought together the country’s most elite strength athletes. Rachitha rose above the competition with a powerful and disciplined performance, earning him the Best Lifter title in his weight category and solidifying his reputation as one of the nation’s most promising strength athletes.
Representing Leader CrossFit Colombo, Rachitha was coached and guided by the expert mentorship of Mothilal Jayathilaka, whose strategic training approach played a key role in this success.
“This victory is the result of months of intense training and strong focus. I’m grateful to my coach, my team at Leader CrossFit, and everyone who supported me,” expressed Rachitha after his win.
