The Eagles’ Quadrangle Cup Golf Championship 2025, organised by the Sri Lanka Air Force, concluded in grand style when Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) became champions at the China Bay golf course.
RCGC won the event, with Nuwara Eliya Golf Club as runner-up, in the four-team event, which took place at the beautiful China Bay golf course in Trincomalee last weekend.
Francisca De Mel won the ‘Nearest to the PIN’ award, demonstrating exceptional precision and technique. On the gents’ side, Thilak Wanasinghe secured the ‘Nearest to the PIN.’
Dilini Hennanayaka won the ‘Longest Drive’ for the ladies’ segment, while Group Capt. W.M.T.G.P.S. Wijekoon emerged victorious among the gents, his powerful swing drawing applause from spectators. Kumar Danushan earned the accolade for ‘Best Overall Gross Score,’ underlining his all-round mastery of the course. Meanwhile, Manori Jayakody took home the ‘Best Overall Net Score’ with her strategic play and adaptability throughout the tournament.
