Pushpika in supreme form at Sri Lanka Golf National Ranking Tournament

Chalitha Pushpika with a total score of 219, emerged as the tournament leader, demonstrating consistency and skill to win the Sri Lanka Golf National Ranking Tournament which concluded at the Victoria Golf Resort at Rajawella.

His rounds of 71, 75, and 73 showed his ability to remain calm and collected under pressure. Chalitha’s first round set the tone for his performance, as he exhibited exceptional accuracy off the tee and a steady hand on the greens. His powerful drives and strategic approach shots allowed him to navigate the challenging course effectively. As the tournament progressed, Chalitha maintained his composure, ultimately sealing his victory.

Priya Hemantha finished with a total score of 220 at second place with rounds of 74, 76, and an outstanding final day of 70, Priya demonstrated his determination to push through the competition.

Kumar Dhanushan with an aggregate score of 223, closely followed the leaders with rounds of 75, 71, and 77 emerged third position.

Chanaka Perera finished fourth with a score of 228, having recorded rounds of 76, 73, and 79.

Reshan Algama securing fifth position with a score of 229, he showed his talent and tenacity by claiming the spot on better performance over the back nine. With rounds of 79, 75, and 75, Reshan faced ups and downs throughout the tournament.

Kushal Johnpillai tied for fifth finishing with 229 after rounds of 82, 72, and 75.

Meanwhile Sithara Lorence won the girls’ event.
