Prestigious Ceylon Masters International Badminton to begin at St. Joseph’s Courts tomorrow

The much-anticipated Ceylon Masters International Badminton Championship 2025 will shuttle off at the St. Joseph’s College Indoor Courts tomorrow, 6 June, with over 350 shuttlers in fray for the ultimate plum. Athletes from leading badminton-playing countries, including Sri Lanka, will be in action during the four-day competition, which will wind up with the finals on 9 June.

The prestigious Ceylon Masters International Badminton Championships 2025 will offer a substantial prize pool of $ 10,000 up for grabs, with the matches scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. daily. Conducted in accordance to Badminton World Federation (BWF) regulations, the Ceylon Masters International will unfold with the preliminary rounds on 6 and 7 June 6th, followed by the quarter-finals and semi-finals on 8 June, culminating with the finals on 9 June.

The championship offers competitions for diverse age categories, spanning from Over-35 to Over-75 in Men’s and Women’s Singles as well as Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Doubles. Combined age categories for 100+, 110+, 120+, 130+ and 140+ across Men’s and Women’s Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.

The flagship international competition hosted annually by Ceylon Masters Badminton, has attracted players of the age category of 35 and above from many badminton-playing countries.
