The Sri Lankan hearing impaired cricketers, who won the Deaf ICC T-20 cricket world cup, met with President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat, Friday (14).
The tournament which was organised for the first time was held in Delhi, India. The President who appreciated the talents of the Sri Lankan players extended his best wishes and had taken steps to provide financial donation for this cricket team prior to their departure for the tournament.
Sri Lanka Deaf Cricket Association President Anula Ranjani, and coaches Jayalath Aponso and Ushantha Gunaratne also participated on this occasion.
