Power-hitting specialist Julian Wood commenced his week-long training program with the Sri Lanka players and coaches yesterday.

Sri Lanka Cricket decided to obtain his services aimed at enhancing the power-hitting skills of both the men’s and women’s national players.

The program, which commenced yesterday, will run till 5 August with Wood working closely with the National Coaches to help players sharpen their hitting techniques and improve their overall power game.

The creator of the innovative “Power Hitting Program,” Wood combines cricketing techniques with training methods and biomechanics to enhance players’ hitting power.

Wood has previously worked with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), Gloucestershire CCC, Hampshire CCC, Middlesex CCC, and IPL franchise Punjab Kings, among others.

This initiative is part of Sri Lanka’s ongoing preparations for key international competitions, including the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the Asia Cup, and other international assignments.
