Pin and Pam Fernando Golf tees off today

The Pin Fernando Trophy and Pam Fernando Trophy 2026, two of the premier board events on the Royal Colombo Golf Club calendar, will tee off with the qualifying rounds today and tomorrow (10 and 11), followed by the match-play stage from 14 to 16 July.

A total of more than 140 golfers will compete in the tournament, which is sponsored by United Tractors.

The Pin Fernando Trophy, introduced during the Club's centenary celebrations, honours Sri Lanka's greatest amateur golfer, while the Pam Fernando Trophy, inaugurated in 2014, recognises the outstanding contribution of Pam Fernando.

The men's event will feature the top 16 qualifiers advancing to the match-play stage, while the top eight ladies will contest the knockout rounds.

Today's first-round tee-off is at 7 a.m., while the second-round tee-off tomorrow will be at 6 a.m. (SJ)
