St. Peter’s College launched their 2026 rugby season with the Jersey presentation and Sponsor felicitation ceremony and Sponsor felicitation event at the Rev. Fr. Nicholas Perera Memorial Hall recently.
The Peterite outfit will be led this season by skipper and cracking number 8, Shenuka Perera, with Revon Perera and Senuth Dinsara serving as vice captains. The leadership group will look to guide the team through a demanding schools rugby season. Head Coach Rajeew Perera, who will take charge of the side for the 2026 campaign.
The ceremony also paid tribute to the sponsors who play a vital role in supporting the team. Cargills Ceylon PLC (Kotmale) came on board as the Platinum Sponsor, while TDM International joined as the Principal Sponsor.
A J Medichem International Ltd., supported the team as Gold Sponsor, with TVS Lanka Ltd., as Silver Sponsor. Gordone Sri Lanka partnered as the Clothing Partner, while Calorie Counter Ltd, Hemas Hospitals and the Peterite Media Unit also extended their support, strengthening the foundation for another exciting season ahead.
