Old Rahula Sports Club crushed Old Servatians CA and FC by eight wickets in the final of the Matara District Cricket Association Division III cricket tournament played at the Uyanwatta ground on Sunday (22).

In a game reduced to 40 overs per team, Old Servatian CA and FC elected to bat first but were restricted to 77 runs. Sasinu Dilmal was the pick of the bowlers capturing four wickets while Yasiru Hewanadugala, Yuran Nimesha and Dilshan Kankanamge captured two wickets each. Sandun Galappaththi top scored with 28. Old Rahula SC won the match in 10.3 overs with Yuran Nimesha smashing 36 runs off 24 balls and quickfire contributions from Thathsara Dilshan, Lakindu Chamodya and Dilshan Kankanage. Nuwan Chandra Kumara captured two wickets.
