Shamlie Nawas

Top class qualified rugby coach, and educator with wide experience across schools, clubs and national team, Shamlie Nawas was appointed as the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka Under-20 Boys and Girls outfits at the Asia Rugby Sevens in Bihar, India on 9 and 10 of August.

Shamlie also coached, Isipathana, Zahira, Thurstan, Police SC, Air Force SC and Army SC. He was also Assistant Coach of the Under-20 in both sevens and fifteens of the national outfit plus Assistant Coach of the Women’s Sevens

outfit.

He is also World Rugby Level 3 Coach and Educator.

Trials will take place today to reduce the squad.(SJ)
