NRT tees off in hill country today

National Ranking Tournament (NRT) for August tees off today at the scenic Nuwara Eliya Golf Club.

The event will feature top-ranked golfers across the island, including Chalitha Pushpika, Reshan Algama, Jevahn Sathasivam, Chanaka Perera, and Jacob Norton.

With both men’s and women’s divisions in action with over 30 golfers teeing off the tournament promises competitive rounds and exciting finishes as players aim to climb the national rankings.

August Ranking tournament will be played at NEGC. Par 71, today till 28 August. There will be a cut after round 2, where the top 15 amateur golfers will make it to round 3.

The cool Nuwara Eliya climate and lush fairways are expected to provide ideal conditions for three days of top-class golf. (SJ)
