NEGC wins three trophies

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) accounted for 3 of the 4 trophies on offer at the recently concluded Golf Tournament against the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) in their annual golf event.

The 125th Anniversary Trophy 2025 between Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) and Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) saw the Hill Country club winning 8/7.

In the Masters Trophy NEGC dominated to claim 4/0 win outclassing the RCGC. Laxman Athukorala and Anura Somaratne plus Nilkamal Perera and S7nil Udalagam both pairs winning 5/4. Meanwhile Melinda Rathnayake and Azad Mansoor and pair of Reyaz Mihlur and Lanka Santha completed the clean sweep.

The Puffin Cup too was won by NEGC, 5.5 to 2.5. (SJ)
