NEGC appoints new General Committee

Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) Harsha Abeywickrema was elected President at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the century-old Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC), which concluded successfully with the appointment of the General Committee for the 2026/2027 term.

Chandana De Silva was appointed Vice President, while Suresh Subramaniam will serve as Captain. Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) Sudharshana Pathirana was elected Vice Captain.

The newly elected committee members are Ananda Jayasekara, Austin Bartholomeusz, Chathuranga Perera, Ifthikar Ahamed, Stefan De Run, and Vish Govindasamy.

Meanwhile, the Trustees of the historic NEGC are Sunil Jayakody and Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Srinath Rajapakse.
