NEGC Life Members Cup 2025 concludes in grand style

The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) Life Members Cup 2025 concluded in grand style, bringing together some of the finest golfers from the Hill Country Club at their club course in Nuwara Eliya last weekend.

The competition saw outstanding performances across various categories. Sudhath Kumara emerged as a standout player, demonstrating remarkable consistency and power. He not only secured the Gross win (25 points) but also accounted for the Longest Drive and Nett Runner-Up wins.

In the highly contested Nett category, Anura Balasooriya claimed the Nett Winner title with a superb score of 35 points, edging out a competitive field. Meanwhile, the Gross Runner-Up spot was secured by Srinath Rajapakse, who posted a commendable 23 points, adding to the day’s competitive spirit. Nearest to the Pin was won by experienced golfer Ramesh Carvahlo. The Life Members Cup, an annual Board event at the NEGC, continues to foster camaraderie among the club’s most esteemed members while promoting competitive excellence and is assured to attract many more numbers in the coming years.
