NEGC Club Championship tees off today

The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club will host its much-anticipated Club Championship 2025, bringing together the club’s finest golfers for a show of skill, precision, and competitive spirit.

The championship rounds are scheduled for 28 February and 1 March, where players will contest the coveted club titles across challenging highland conditions that demand accuracy, strategy, and composure under pressure. Already more than 100 golfers have registered for this event.

The event will culminate with an elegant Awards Ceremony and Dinner on the evening of 1 March, celebrating excellence while fostering fellowship among members in a refined and festive atmosphere.

Competitors will vie for an impressive range of prizes, including premium golf equipment from Honma. Annual Gold Medal 2025 will be played under stroke play with best gross on day 1 will be selected. Graeme Sinclair Cup 2025 will take place on 27 February giving a good warm up for the club event with Stableford event.

Mixed Foursomes Special Event will take place on 2 March, offering players an engaging team format that blends strategy and partnership on the iconic course. This event promises competitive yet inclusive participation.
