Sri Lanka’s premier cricket club Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) felicitated their cricketers recently following the conclusion of the 2025/26 domestic cricket season.
The annual event, which has now become part of the NCC cricket calendar, was hosted by the NCC Cricket Committee and attended by the President, Secretary, and Executive Committee members of NCC.
Top performers during the 2025/26 season were recognised for their efforts.
Sahan Arachchige, who recently captained Sri Lanka A against New Zealand A in the limited overs series, led NCC in all three formats during the 2025/26 season.
A notable feature of the season was the emergence of two promising youngsters—all-rounder Kavindu Pathiratne and spinner Shakthi Udara.
In the absence of senior players due to national commitments, Pathiratne and Udara rose to the occasion with stellar performances. In fact, all-rounder Pathiratne went on to claim the Player of the Tournament and the Player of the Final awards in the recently concluded National Super League (NSL) 4-Day Tournament.
Udara emerged as the highest wicket taker with 39 wickets in his first full season for the Maitland Place Club.
This year, NCC will be led by all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne for the T20 and Limited Over tournaments, while opener Lahiru Udara will take over the reins for the three-day tournament. Promising youngster Ahan Wickramasinghe will be the vice-captain for all three formats.
NCC are coached by Ian Daniel (head coach) and Kithruwan Withanage.
