N-Able yesterday announced sponsorship of 17-year-old Sri Lankan golf prodigy Reshan Algama, strengthening the company’s commitment to empower exceptional Sri Lankan youth competing on global stages. The partnership equips Algama for a demanding international/local calendar while aligning a leading Sri Lankan technology brand with one of the country’s brightest golfing talents.

The past few months have been both testing and transformative for Algama. In May-June, he delivered a historic fourth place for Sri Lanka at the Nepal Amateur Championship, added seventh at the Ciputra Junior Amateur (Indonesia), and finished second at the Sri Lanka National Ranking Championships (June). Momentum continued through the summer: Champion at the Sri Lanka National Ranking Championships (July, Victoria Golf and Country Club, Digana); Runner-up at the Sri Lanka Ranking Championships (August); Champion at the all-important Sri Lanka Junior Match Play (August); 11th at the Thai Junior (September); and 10th at the Medco – Pondok Indah Amateur (Indonesia). He also secured Merc-Stop as his clothing sponsor. Collectively, these results have lifted him to a career-best World Amateur Golf Ranking of 526.

As Sri Lanka’s selected golfer for the Asian Youth Games (AYG) in October in Bahrain, Algama will compete against the region’s best juniors at a premier multi-sport stage that nurtures Olympic values, elite performance, and friendship among nations. The AYG is a pivotal stepping-stone in an athlete’s development; with his current form and N-able’s support, Algama aims to deliver a much-deserved medal for Sri Lanka while gaining invaluable big-event experience.

N-able Chief Executive Officer Shirantha Herath said: “We are thrilled to be part of Reshan Algama’s journey. He represents the discipline, resilience, and ambition that inspire our own teams. Through this sponsorship—and with the full support of our Chairman and Board—our intent is to give back to society by supporting more young Sri Lankan athletes with similar potential in the years ahead.”

A Sri Lankan-founded technology solutions company, N-able brings a high-performance ethos from enterprise transformation into sport. Beyond supplying top-tier equipment, N-able will support Algama with a data-driven approach to preparation—coordinating with his coaches so that equipment selection, fitting, and maintenance are optimised across courses and conditions. The company’s investment is designed to convert consistency into titles and rankings into pathways, demonstrating how smart technology, the right tools, and disciplined execution create winning edges—on course and off.

With N-able’s backing and a calendar rich in national and international events, Algama moves into the next phase of his career aiming higher than ever—determined to turn podium finishes into sustained success for Sri Lanka on the world stage.
