Moratuwa SC wins SLC Tier ‘B’ 50-over final

Moratuwa SC won the SLC Tier ‘B’ 50-over final when they beat Saracens SC by 21 runs on the DLC method at the SSC grounds yesterday.

Opting to bat first Moratuwa SC ran up 231-9 in 50 overs with Anushka Perera making a top score of 70 off 89 balls (9 fours, 2 sixes) and seamer Senal de Silva capturing four wickets for 26 for Saracens SC.

In reply Saracens SC revised target was 189 off 38 overs, finished on 167-7 with Dinitha Siriwardena scoring 49 and Gavin Boteju 38.
