Mark Bostock Memorial Trophy 2024: Ahalya to defend her title on Saturday

Ahalya Rajan will be defending the Mark Bostock Memorial Trophy which she won last year, becoming the Overall Nett winner

Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) will once again host the prestigious Mark Bostock Memorial Trophy 2024 on 11 May at their club course in Rajawella.

Tee off is expected at 7 a.m.

Over 100 entries have been received for this annual Board event with the top players in the region, all vying for the coveted trophies, with even members overseas flying in to play in this event.

The defending champion and overall winner is Ahalya Rajan. She was in magnificent form on the greens in her home course, where she had won in tandem.

In the Ladies Gross segment, Anouk Chitty emerged victorious, taking home the prestigious Tony Whitham Challenge trophy last year.

The Gents Gross segment was won by Sanjeewa Wickramanayake who emerged as the champion last year, accounting for the Ken Balendra Challenge Trophy.

The Mark Bostock Memorial Trophy has a rich history of celebrating the legacy of the late Mark Bostock, a respected figure in the golfing community.

Maximum handicap for the Main event (Mark Bostock) will be 24 for Ladies and 18 for Gentlemen while Senior event will be 36 for ladies while 28 for Gents. GM’s Trophy will have Ladies at 36 while Gents 28.
