Sri Lanka Under-19 Women’s Captain Manudi Nanayakkara

All-rounder Manudi Nanayakkara will captain the 15-member Sri Lanka team in the five-match Under-19 T20 series against touring Malaysia.

The Malaysian women’s cricket team arrived yesterday for the upcoming series.

The tour is part of Sri Lanka Cricket’s ongoing efforts to support the development of Associate Member nations of the ICC.

Captain (Princess of Wales, Moratuwa) Manudi Nanayakkara, Sanjana Kavindi (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Vimoksha Balasooriya (Sinhala MV, Trincomalee), Hiruni Hansika (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Nethangi Isuranjali (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Rashmika Sewwandi (Anura College, Matara), Sashini Gimhani (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Aseni Thalagune (Mahamaya Girls School, Kandy), Pramudi Methsara (National College, Uhana, Ampara), Danodya Sewmini (Anamaduwa Central College, Puttalam), Chamudhi Prabodha (Pangnananda College, Monaragala), Limansa Thilakarathne (unattached), Rashmi Nethranjali (Devapathiraja College, Rathgama), Rismi Sanjana (Anura College, Matara), Mithali Ayodhya (Rajaela MV, Kanthale)

The series will commence on Sunday with the first match at the NCC grounds commencing 10 a.m.

The rest of the itinerary:  

  • 3 Nov: 2nd Under-19 T20 match at Colts, 2 p.m.
  • 5 Nov: 3rd Under-19 T20 match at Colts, 10 a.m.
  • 7 Nov: 4th Under-19 T20 match at NCC, 10 a.m.
  • 10 Nov: 5th Under-19 T20 match at Colts, 10 a.m.
