The unavailability of the Galle Cricket Stadium due to the hosting of the Southern schools Big Matches has led to a postponement of the Major Club 3-day League Super Eights fixtures scheduled to commence yesterday by one day.
The four matches will therefore commence today and will go on till Monday.
The match scheduled to be played at the Galle Cricket Stadium was between wooden spoonists Bloomfield and BRC with neither team having any chance of winning the title.
The postponement was done in order to give a level playing field to all the participating teams in the Super Eights.
The other three matches beginning today are: Colts v Moors SC at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium, Moors SC v CCC at the R Premadasa Cricket Stadium and Ace Capital CC v Police SC at the NCC grounds.
