MCA vs Olcott Veterans Cricket T20 tomorrow

The Sir Henry Steel Olcott Sports Foundation (formed in 1996) will seek a hat-trick of wins, when they confront the MCA Presidents Team, at their 3rd veterans 20+20 Cricket encounter, for the Bandula Warnapura Memorial Challenge Trophy, tomorrow at the MCA Grounds, commencing 10.00 a.m.

SHSOSF led by Arjuna Ranatunga in 2022 and 2023 have won both encounters ; they beat the MCA by 22 runs in the inaugural year and followed it up with a 20 runs win last year;  both encounters took  place at the MCA Grounds.

Old Nalandian Bandula Warnapura, Sri Lanka’s first Test Captain in 1982 and a founder member of the Foundation in 1996, passed away on 18 October 2021 at the age of 68.

In preparation, both teams were hard at practices for the past two weeks and yet to name their squads.
