MCA T10 cricket tournament kicks off on 27 April

Assetline Leasing and David Pieris Leisure Ltd., have come forward to sponsor the first ever Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) T+10 Cricket Tournament 2024, on 27 and 28 April and 4 and 5 May.

The following 16 MCA teams will participate in this historic event.

Recovery Room, Powerhand Plantations, Peoples Leasing Co., South Asia Gateway Terminals, Camera LK, Ansell Textiles, George Steuarts Health, Central Finance, Emar Pharma, Certis Lanka, Softlogic Life, Citizens Development Business Finance, David Pieris Group of Companies, Abans Group, Hilton Colombo Residencies and Maliban Biscuits

The tournament will be conducted on matting wickets, using the white ball, with players attired in colored clothing, in two stages, playing a total of 31 matches.

The 16 teams will be pooled into 4 groups and firstly will be engaged in a round robin, in the league stage, consisting 24 matches. At the completion of the league stage, the 2 top teams of each group will advance to the Knockout quarter Finals consisting 7 matches including the Final.

The 31 matches will be spread as follows:

27 and 28 April, simultaneously, at MCA, Dharmapala Pannipitiya and; De Mazanod Kandana (4 matches at each venue); 4 May / Quarter Finals (venue to be confirmed); the Semi Finals and the Final on 5 May at MCA.
