MCA “C” Division League Tournament progresses

The Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) “C” Division League Tournament 2025 played with the white ball, players attired in coloured clothing is now in progress.

Seven teams, namely LOLC Holdings, Teejay Lanka, Commercial Bank “A”, MAS Bodyline, MAS Intimates, Sampath Bank and David Pieris Group are participating in a single group league in two stages.

The League stage, consisting 21 matches is being played at the moment.

Best performers with the bat and the ball in the tournament so far were, Lahiru Attanayake from LOLC (106 not out in 107 balls inclusive of 1 six and 12 fours against Commercial Bank “A”; Susiri Adikari from Teejay Lanka (110 not out in 63 balls inclusive of 3 sixes and 17 fours against MAS Bodyline); K. Peiris from LOLC (9.4 overs 24/5 against MAS Intimates) and S. Kaushalya from Commercial Bank (7 overs 37/5 against Teejay Lanka)

At the completion of round-robin stage the first four teams finishing in the league points table will advance to the Semi Finals.

The tournament will be continued on Sunday, 20 July with the remaining league round matches.
