Link Natural powered their way to the Cup Championship of the 53rd Mastercard Mercantile Rugby Sevens 2025, with a dominant 31/14 win over Pearl Beach in the final played at Longdon Place last weekend.
The winners led 14/7 at halftime, before sealing the game with a strong second-half performance.
Link Natural scored their tries through Srinath Sooriyabandara, Heshan Jensen, Kavindu Perera, Janidu Dilshan, and Muthunayake. Pearl Beach scored through Avantha Lee and a penalty try.
Soori won the Man of the Tournament this year as well, taking his tally to five.
In the Plate final, John Keells Holdings proved too strong for CDB, clinching a 26/10 win.
Meanwhile, MAS Holdings claimed the Shield title with a 30/14 win over Commercial Credit, while Seylan Bank produced a flawless display to capture the Bowl Championship with a resounding 33/0 triumph over Ceylinco VIP. (SJ)
